Château Ferran is a Bordeaux wine estate in AOP Pessac-Léognan which extends over 70 hectares of forests and vineyards, adjacent to the Graves classified growths.
Born in the 17th century at the instigation of Robert de Ferran, a lawyer at the Parliament of Bordeaux, it became the property of Montesquieu, the famous philosopher of the Enlightenment, the following century. The wines were then called "Premiers graves Martillac".
In 1880, Château Ferran passed into the hands of the Lacoste family and has remained so ever since, with Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste, the fifth generation of the family, who have been running the estate since 1999. Over the past ten years, they have undertaken major investments in the restructuring of the vineyard and the renovation of the cellars.
