In Bordeaux, a Jeroboam is a large glass bottle containing the equivalent of 6.66 bottles of wine, i.e. a capacity of 500 cl for this bottle. This type of 5-litre bottle only exists in Bordeaux and it should also be noted that for wines from other regions, a Jeroboam refers to a 3-litre bottle.
