It was in 1989 during a meal that the two cousins, Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith, renowned wine professionals, decided to make a long-held dream come true: that of producing their own wines.

They chose Adelaide Hills and its hilly vineyards with a temperate climate, capable of producing the cuvées they imagined: modern, aromatic and fresh wines. The two cousins have just celebrated their twentieth vintage and the bet has more than paid off: as one of the undisputed leaders in their region, their Sauvignon Blanc has become a model of its kind, joined since then by splendid cuvées of Chardonnay and Shiraz that share the same characteristics of intensity, sharpness and greediness.
