Château Moulin Riche is a magnificent Saint-Julien wine made by Château Léoville Poyferré, 2nd Grand Cru Classé, in the commune of Saint-Julien Beychevelle, in the heart of the Médoc and owned by the Cuvelier family since 1920. Since 1979, Didier Cuvelier has presided over the destiny of Château Léoville Poyferré and Château Moulin Riche.
The origin of the estate dates back to 1638: Léoville was then the largest property in the Médoc and was then fragmented over time and generations. Château Léoville Poyferré was born in 1840 and fifteen years later was consecrated Second Grand Cru Classé.
After being classified as an exceptional cru bourgeois in 1932 and following in the footsteps of Léoville Poyferré, Château Moulin Riche has been a Château in its own right for the past ten years.
