BANDOL

The Bandol AOC is the most famous in Provence. The wines are produced in all 3 colours, mainly from the Mourvèdre grape variety for the reds and rosés, and from the white Ugni for the whites. The latter are dry and nervous with aromas of lime blossom and broom, and are little known. The reds are very colourful with the scent of red fruits, cinnamon, spices and leather, and the Mourvèdre, often associated with Grenache, makes them powerful, full-bodied, tannic, and long-lasting wines. Just like the rosés, which are very fresh, warm, and marked by real finesse.
