Created in the 18th century, the Château Soutard vineyard covers 30 hectares of mostly clay-limestone soils complemented by clayey slopes and sandy foothills. The vines, which are about 35 years old, are made from the Merlot grape varieties for 63%, CAbernet Franc for 28%, Cabernet Sauvignon for 7% and Malbec for 2%.
The cultivation methods are traditional, sustainable and ensure the greatest respect for the soil, the vine and the auxiliary fauna. The grapes are harvested by hand in 10kg crates and the wines are aged in French oak barrels, from seven different cooperages, for an average of 18 months.
