MONDEUSE

Mondeuse is a red grape variety from Savoie with a great resemblance to Syrah, giving very good quality wines for laying down in good years. These are full-bodied, very aromatic wines. They have a purple-red colour and offer scents of violets, raspberries, blackcurrants, prunes and sometimes truffles. The ageing of this wine reduces the tannins and develops the secondary aromas. Mondeuse goes very well with red meats and cheese.
