Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest wine houses in Burgundy, founded in Beaune by Michel Bouchard in 1731. For nearly 300 years and over 9 generations, Maison Bouchard has developed through the successive acquisition of vines, the first of which were in Volnay (Les Caillerets) in 1775 and in Beaune (Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus) after the French Revolution and in 1820, with the acquisition of the former Château de Beaune, a royal fortress dating from the 15th century.
The Château has a network of more than 4 kilometres of superb underground cellars that offer perfect natural conservation conditions for Maison Bouchard's wines at a depth of 10 metres.
Today, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils owns one of the most beautiful heritage sites in Burgundy on more than 130 hectares of vines: Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne, Beaune Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus, Bonnes-Mares and Meursault Perrières.
