Maison Rigal was founded in 1757 in Cahors in the Lot where the Malbec grape variety was born more than 2000 years ago, a grape variety that offers Cahors wines an incredible ageing potential.
It has become a world reference for French Malbec with a 250-hectare vineyard whose Cahors wines are awarded each year in major French and international competitions. Maison Rigal reveals the multiple expressions of Malbec through several single-vineyard cuvées and thanks to its mastery of vinifications as in black wine.
Maison Rigal also offers local wines made from Malbec and other local grape varieties from the South-West, in single varietals or blends, such as Gros Manseng, Tannat, Negrette or Colombard.
