Seghesio Family Vineyards, grands vins Zinfandel dans le comté de Sonoma en Californie

Edoardo Seghesio founded Seghesio Family Vineyards in 1895 when, fresh from immigrating from his native Italy, he planted his first Zinfandel vines in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County, California. He built the estate with his wife, an estate that would be one of only a hundred that survived Prohibition.

Supplying mainly the Californian estates with grapes, it was the 4th generation of the family, with Ted Seghesio and his cousin, who made the first wines in 1983 with the label bearing the Seghesio name and who made known his exceptional wines made from Zinfandel and Italian grape varieties. The estate joined the Crimson Wine Group in 2011.
