Bodega Aniello is a small winery located in Patagonia, in the south of Argentina. It was created from a vineyard named 006, planted in 1998 in the Mainque region, at an altitude of 350 meters on the north bank of the Rio Negro Valley. To this original estate was added a second vineyard of 20 hectares, with an old cellar dating from 1927, including 5 hectares of old vines (1932 and 1947) from a massal selection of pre-phylloxera Malbecs. This vineyard was owned by the Italian Aniello family, originally from Sorrento near Naples.
The vineyard is truly spectacular, between plains and plateaus, winds and snow, rivers and sea coasts. The alluvial soils allow the vines to sink very deep to feed. The constant winds and low humidity sanitize the vines and offer colourful and structured wines, with highly concentrated fruit.
Bodega Aniello is strongly committed to sustainable agriculture, promoting the use of natural products for fertilization and disease control.
