Khareba Estate is one of the leading wineries in Georgia and has nearly 1000 hectares of vineyards spread throughout the country, from Kakheti in the east to Imereti in the west. It is both an important part of the Georgian viticulture heritage, with in particular several traditional Qvevri wineries and a forward-looking estate that invests in the most advanced winemaking technologies.
The estate's winery is particularly famous: carved into the granite rock of the Caucasus Mountains, it stretches for almost 8 kilometres in a long circular tunnel with numerous galleries. It offers a naturally controlled temperature between 12 and 14°C and a humidity of 70%, which are perfect conditions for storing wine.
