GRÜNER VELTLINER

The Grüner Veltliner grape variety is a grape variety found in Eastern Europe, mainly in Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, with Austria accounting for 75% of the planted area. In Austria, it is one of the 2 main grape varieties for dry white wines, along with Riesling.
It produces white wines with a beautiful acidity, aromatic on white-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, peach, melon), and depending on the region of production, with smoky and/or spicy notes. These wines are the perfect accompaniment to Japanese cuisine, dishes slightly spiced with ginger or radish (wasabi), vegetables with strong tastes such as green onions, lemon (yuzu) desserts.
