Château Angludet is a Bordeaux wine estate in AOP Margaux, located 30 km north-west of Bordeaux and which extends over 81 hectares, 32 of which are planted with vines on a plateau of Garonne gravel, surrounded by Grands Crus Classés such as Château Giscours and Château du Tertre. The grape varieties are composed of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 13% Petit Verdot.
The history of Château Angludet dates back to the 13th century and the vineyard was established at the beginning of the 17th century. Divided into 4 plots in 1791 after the death of its owner, Château Angludet was not selected for this reason when the Médoc crus were classified in 1855. In 1932, it was one of the 6 estates to be classified as an Exceptional Cru Bourgeois.
After a difficult period, between economic difficulties and climatic disasters (Winter 1956), Château Angludet was reborn in 1961, when Diana and Peter Sichel acquired it. It has since become the fiefdom of the Sichel family and it is now the children of Peter and Diana who run the estate.
