Established in the Languedoc at the Domaine de Cazal Vieil, in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Orb valley, north of Béziers, since 1791, the Miquel family has been producing great wines from Saint-Chinian, Corbières and Faugères.

With Laurent Miquel, it is now the 8th generation of winemakers who are at the head of the estate. It elaborates Wines with single or blended grape varieties, such as Viognier and Chardonnay for white wines, Syrah, Grenache and Cinsaut for red and rosé wines.

Laurent Miquel is also the owner of the 30 hectares of Domaine des Auzines, in Lagrasse in the heart of the Corbières, an estate that has been run organically since 1991. He decided to plant a white grape variety very rare in France, Albarino, originally from Galicia in northern Spain. Today, with 14 hectares, Laurent Miquel is the first producer of Albarino in France. On the limestone soils at low altitudes of Lagrasse, Albarino produces very fresh white wines with well-balanced acidity and beautiful fruit aromas.
