Clos Rougeard is a 10-hectare winery in Chacé, between Tours en Angers, in the Loire Valley, in the Saumur and Saumur Champigny appellations, from Cabernet Franc for red wines and Chenin for white wines.
The wines of Clos Rougeard are exceptional cuvées that are now sought after by wine lovers from all over the world: Le Clos, Les Poyeux and Le Bourg in red, Brézé in white.
The origins of the estate date back to the 17th century. The brothers Jean-Louis and Bernard Foucault, representing the eighth generation, decided to convert the estate to organic farming in the early 70s, and brought many Loire winegrowers after them. In 2017, Martin Bouygues acquired Clos Rougeard.
