Maison Cazes Rivesaltes Red 1949

Maison Cazes is internationally renowned for its Roussillon wines and in particular its Rivesaltes Garnet, Tuilé and Ambré.
It has been located in Rivesaltes in the heart of Roussillon since 1895, when it was created by Michel Cazes, and is now managed by Lionel Lavail. Emmanuel Cazes is in charge of the winemaking.
The vineyard now covers 220 hectares and allows Maison Cazes to produce 13 wines, in red in the Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes du Roussillon Villages, Rivesaltes Garnet and Rivesaltes Tuilé appellations, IGP Côtes Catalanes red and rosé and in white, Muscat de Rivesaltes, Rivesaltes Ambré and Côtes Catalanes white.
The estate has been operated biodynamically for more than 15 years: beyond organic cultivation, natural without pesticides or insecticides, biodynamic cultivation highlights the enhancement of the soil and the vine in their natural environment. Today, Maison Cazes owns the largest vineyard in France converted to organic and biodynamic cultivation.
