Hans and Paula Diwald took over the family estate in 1972 and in 1980 were pioneers in the conversion to organic farming, a practice that was almost unknown at the time, and are now recognised as among the very first winemakers to adopt their own viticulture.
The estate covers 20 hectares, in the Wagram region, with mainly white grape varieties, with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, but also rarer red grape varieties such as Frühroter Veltliner.
In 2006, their son Martin Diwald took over after studying viticulture at the Institute in Klosterneuburg.
