Château Tournefeuille is a wine estate in the Libournais region of Bordeaux in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, which extends over 17 hectares of clay-gravel soils, facing the greatest terroirs of Pomerol. The Merlot (67%) and Cabernet Franc (30%) vines are gathered around the château and its cellars. It is owned by Emeric and Virginie Petit.
The vineyard comprises 4 very distinct terroirs: a south-facing hillside on clay, with very good water regulation where Merlot is in the majority; a gravelly ridge at the top of the hill, where the grapes ripen earlier, ideal for Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon; a second north-facing hillside on beautiful gravelly clays where Cabernet Franc grapes thrive perfectly; a clay-silt plateau developing towards the village of Néac which offers powerful and structured Merlots.
The Petit family also farms 3 hectares of vines located in the commune of Néac, also in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, adjacent to Château Tournefeuille, under the name of Rosalcy.
