Château Bellegrave is a Bordeaux wine estate of just over 8 hectares, located south of Pauillac, surrounded by the plots of the Pauillac appellation's greatest classified growths, Château Latour, Château Pichon-Longueville and Château Lynch-Bages.
The vineyard is one of the oldest in Pauillac and benefits from a very beautiful terroir of Garonne gravel. The grape varieties are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (62%), followed by Merlot (31%) and Cabernet Franc (7%).
After having belonged to Armand Roux in the 19th century, then to his partner Monsieur Van der Voort at the beginning of the 20th century, it was acquired in 1997 by Jean-Paul Meffre, already owner of Château du Glana and Château Lalande in Saint-Julien-de-Beychevelle. Today, his grandsons, Ludovic and Julien, manage the property.
