Château Quinault l'Enclos is a wine estate in Bordeaux, in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation and which extends over 20 hectares of clay-silt soils, in the heart of Libourne, on the banks of the Dordogne river, planted with vines with an average age of 50 years, for the majority Merlot (72%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (13%).
Formerly the Saint-Emilion estate, the property was bought in 2008 by Baron Albert Frère and Bernard Arnault, who placed a team led by Pierre Lurton at its head with the aim of revitalising the vineyard of the magnificent Quinault l'Enclos estate while getting closer to the winemaking and ageing methods of Château Cheval Blanc.
Château Quinault l'Enclos has also begun a conversion to organic farming.
