Château L'Eglise-Clinet is a Bordeaux winery in Pomerol that extends over 5.5 hectares of Merlot vines for 90% and Cabernet Franc for 10%.
Château L'Eglise-Clinet was created in 1882 by Mr. Mauléon-Rouchut, grandfather of the current owner, Denis Durantou, by bringing together plots of land from the Clos L'Église and the neighbouring Château Clinet, located near the church of Saint-Jean de Pomerol. It first took the name of Clos L'Église-Clinet and then, from the 1955 vintage, that of Château L'Église-Clinet.
Denis Durantou has succeeded in making Château L'Eglise-Clinet one of the emblematic estates of the Pomerol appellation. The estate also produces a second wine, La Petite Église.
