The Domaine was founded in 1864 by Pierre Bourée and has been in the hands of the Vallet family for four generations. Today, Bernard and Jean-Christophe Vallet are at the head of the estate, the vineyard spread over the Côte-de-Nuits and the Côte-de-Beaune, between Gevrey-Chambertin (Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Clos de la Justice Monopole) and Beaune (Les Epenottes 1er Cru) and the wine merchant activity.

In the vineyard as well as in the cellar, the Domaine favours environmentally friendly practices: ploughing the soil, natural fertilisers, phytosanitary treatments reduced to a minimum, limited yields, manual harvesting.
