Clos Fantine is a Languedoc wine estate located in Cabrerolles and which extends over 22 hectares, on the schist slopes of the Faugères appellation. The dominant grape variety is Carignan for 40% of the grape varieties, with several plots of hundred-year-old Carignans, Grenache for 20%, Mourvèdre for 20%, Syrah for 10% and Cinsault for 10%.
The history of the estate began in the mid-1990s and today it is the three children Corine, Carole and Olivier Andrieu who have taken over from their father, with a deep respect for nature: in the vineyard, interventions are minimal without ever disrupting the natural cycle, without any synthetic products, weedkillers or fertilizers. Ploughing has been extended to the entire estate to allow the roots to develop deep and better resist drought, as the shale offers a high water retention capacity. In the cellar, the wines are aged only in concrete vats, without inputs and without added sulphites since 2005.
