Maison Vincent Girardin is a wine estate in Burgundy that extends over several appellations from 9 villages of the Côte de Beaune: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, Savigny-Les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Volnay and Pommard. The estate's wines are all made from vines in sustainable cultivation.
The history of the House dates back to 1980 when Vincent Girardin, then 19 years old and from a family of winemakers who had settled in Santenay since the 17th century, wanted to settle on the two hectares of vines inherited from his parents. Passionate about the work of the vineyard to which he pays great attention, he manages in a few years to raise his wines to a very high level of quality, with a very pure style, and obtains international recognition for his great white and red wines of the Côte de Beaune.
Since the early 2000s, he has been assisted in the winemaking process by Eric Germain. In a second phase, to meet a growing demand for his wines, he decided to create a trading activity with the purchase of grapes from demanding winegrowers.
In 2012, Vincent Girardin sold his business to a long-standing partner of the House. Mr. Nié, President of the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois in Beaune. The latter relies on the same team with Eric Germain to perpetuate the style of the wines and Marco Caschera for marketing.
