The J.M. Goulard Champagne House has been located in Prouilly, in the heart of the Saint-Thierry massif, in the Montagne de Reims, for four generations.
The Goulard family has always farmed vineyards. Until the 1960s, all the grapes produced on the farm were sold to merchants. Paul Goulard then began selling bottles, then his son Jean-Marie continued the work begun when he joined the family business in 1972. He created Maison J.M. Goulard in 1977 with his wife Martine. In 2003, Sébastien, an oenologist, Sylvain and Damien took over from their parents.
