Château de la Tour, grands vins du Clos Vougeot en Bourgogne

Château de la Tour, a wine estate on the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, extends over 5 hectares at the foot of the famous Cistercian manor house and within the surrounding walls of the Clos Vougeot.

Château de la Tour's reputation dates back to the Middle Ages, but more recently, it was the arrival of François Labet at the head of the estate in 1986, advised by Jean-Pierre Confuron, that raised the quality of Clos Vougeot wines to a level never before attained, now acclaimed by wine lovers around the world.

The estate has been certified organic since 1992 and is planted exclusively with Pinot Noir, a grape variety adapted to the clay-limestone soils of the Clos Vougeot plot.

Château de la Tour produces two cuvées of the Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, the classic cuvée and the rarer cuvée vieilles vignes.
