Château d'Esclans is an estate in Provence that produces red, white and rosé wines in the Côtes-de-Provence appellation with four rosé cuvées (Whispering Angel, Rock Angel, Les Clans and Garrus), one white cuvée (Déesse Astrée) and two red cuvées (S Clans and Déesse Diane).
Whispering Angel is a rosé made mainly from Grenache (70%), Cinsault and Syrah. Garrus and Les Clans are the 2 high-end rosé wine cuvées of Château d'Esclans, vinified like great white wines and which bring a very original note to the more classic rosé wines of Provence.
Château d'Esclans became the property of Sacha Lichine, son of the famous Bordeaux owner and wine merchant Alexandre Lichine, in 2006 when he acquired the estate's 260 hectares with the aim of creating the best rosé wines in the world. For winemaking, he worked for more than 10 years with Patrick Léon, brilliant oenologist, who passed away in December 2018, of some of the greatest wines in the world such as Château Mouton Rothschild in France, Opus One in the USA or Almaviva in Chile. Sacha Lichine sold Château d'Esclans to the LVMH group in 2020.
