MELCHOIR
The Melchoir or Melchior is a very large bottle, the equivalent of 24 bottles of 75 cl, or 18 litres, and takes its name from Melchior, one of the 3 wise men, the one supposed to come from Europe.
With a weight of more than 40 kilos, this is a bottle that is difficult to handle, to reserve for exceptional meals and events. It may also be named Salomon, named after the Old Testament king of Israel.
La Bouteille Dorée specialises in the delivery of large formats of bottles. Check out this guide to learn more about our conditions for transporting and delivering Nebuchadnezzars and other very large bottles of wine.
