The Clos de l'Ours produces rosé, red and white wines in the Côtes-de-Provence appellation. The vineyard is located in Cotignac in the Haut Var, one of the northernmost of the Côtes de Provence appellation, and extends over 13 hectares. The vine here dates back to the Middle Ages with the Knights Templar. The estate has been in the hands of the Brotons family since 2012. The Domaine has been certified organic since 2003.
The vines are organically grown without any pesticides or chemical treatments. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand. Delicate pressing, slow extraction, natural fermentation. The soils are clay-limestone. The grape varieties grown are two white grape varieties, Rolle and Clairette, and five red grape varieties, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault.
