Bordeaux 1975
The 1975 vintage in Bordeaux appeared on its release to be excellent and with the promise of great ageing potential. Quite closed in their youth, the best wines of Médoc, Graves, Pomerol and Saint-Emilion are, 50 years later, still quite robust, with great differences depending on the wine. Sauternes are excellent.
Burgundy 1975
The climatic conditions of 1975 were quite unfavourable in Burgundy in both spring and summer, and led to a meagre harvest. Few successes, therefore, but the great wines of Burgundy, which have favoured a rigorous sorting of the grapes followed by careful vinification, offer rather fine and supple red wines and generous white wines.
Champagne 1975
Very good vintage: most of the champagnes are of excellent quality with a powerful style and offer good ageing potential.
