This Patrimonio E Croce 2016 is a great red wine from Corsica made from 90% of the Nielluciu grape variety and 10% of Grenache noir. On the nose, it offers powerful aromas of red fruits, blackcurrant and blackberry, with fine liquorice notes, which can also be found on the palate, with a beautiful structure. It will be the perfect accompaniment to red meats, game and dishes with sauce.
The vines of the E Croce plot are located on a unique terroir at the foot of the mountain range that extends the Cap Corse: hillsides facing south-west, on clay-limestone soils with a schist base, which benefit from the maritime influence of the Gulf of St Florent.
After several years in conversion to organic farming, the estate was certified for the 2017 vintage.
