This Corton Les Bressandes is a Grand Cru red wine from Burgundy. The 2009 vintage was a year of excellent maturity for Chandon de Briailles. This wine strongly expresses its terroir but remains very elegant.
After more than fifteen years of ageing, it offers beautiful aromas of black cherry and morello cherry on the nose with notes of sweet spices. On the palate, it offers a beautiful sensation of opulence and roundness, framed by a fine but very present tannic structure, and a very persistent finish.
The Corton has the distinction of being the only red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune and is described by Guy de Maupassant in the novel "Bel-Ami" as "the king of the bon vivants".
Owned by the same family since 1834, the Chandon de Briailles estate is run by François de Nicolay. Great wines for ageing, a lot of freshness and an entirely biodynamic culture; This is what best characterises this great vineyard.
