Chateau Cantegrive Cuvee de l'An 1453 Castillon-Cotes-de-Bordeaux Red 1994
Château Cantegrive 1994 is a Bordeaux wine in the Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation, from a vineyard located on the highest plateau of the Gironde facing south-east, a superb terroir where the limestone rock is covered by a thin layer of clayey silt.
Made from a predominantly Merlot blend complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the almost outcropping limestone rock gives the wines a very elegant and well-balanced fruity expression, with harmonious tannins. It will be the perfect accompaniment to red or white meats and soft cheeses.
This cuvée from the year 1453 takes its name from the date on which the Hundred Years' War between the French and the English ended at Castillon-la-Bataille.
