This Côtes-du-Roussillon-Villages cuvée Alter 1994 from Domaine Cazes is a great red wine from Roussillon.

It offers an intense and rich nose, with notes of leather and truffle, black fruits and cocoa. On the palate, the substance is still ample and well structured after 30 years of age, with a beautiful freshness and a finish with peppery notes. It will be the perfect accompaniment to truffle dishes, minced beef with mushrooms or cheeses such as a Chaource or Brillât-savarin.
