Domaine Brumont Chateau Montus La Tyre 2003
Always on the lookout for the best terroirs, in 1990 Alain Brumont noticed a large slope of 12 hectares, totally fallow, on the highest hillside of the Madiran appellation. The first cuvée of the Tyre was born in 2000 and has only been released since then in the best years. All wine critics today agree that Montus La Tyre remains the best Madiran ever made.
An almost black garnet colour, a rich and complex nose, fine and balanced tannins, a harmonious finish with freshness, this is a cult wine!
Bought by Alain Brumont in the 80s, when the Madiran appellation was struggling to make itself heard, Château Montus became a reference in the South-West of France in a single generation. Magnificent, unique, powerful, racy and world-renowned wines.
You can also find all the wines of the magnificent 2003 vintage currently on sale at La Bouteille Dorée.
