Chateau d'Issan Margaux 3eme Grand Cru Classe Red 1975
Château d'Issan is a great wine from Margaux and 3rd Grand Cru Classé Red in 1855.
The 1975 vintage was acclaimed at the time and promised a long shelf life in Bordeaux and in particular in Margaux. In this vintage, the wines of Margaux are the most successful of Bordeaux along with those of Pomerol and the sweet whites of Sauternes and they still offer a lot of pleasure. This Château d'Issan 1975 is a very good idea for a birthday gift to give to a young man in his forties.
Château d'Issan was born in the 17th century but wines were already being produced here that were highly esteemed 500 years earlier. The modern era has been marked by the Cruse family who, for 60 years, have developed the vineyard and restored all its prestige to the wines of Issan. Today, she has teamed up with Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti.
