The wines of Château Rauzan-Gassiès

The Château Rauzan-Gassiès vineyard extends over 29 hectares of vines in Margaux and Cantenac and the history of the Château begins in the 17th century. American President Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), a great lover of Bordeaux wines, was particularly fond of Rauzan wines. The vineyard was divided in the 19th century, a part of which gave birth to Château Rauzan-Gassiès in 1839. Today, and for more than 50 years, it is owned by the Quié family.
