Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Clos Rochette Monopole White 2021
This 2021 Mercurey white from Domaine Faiveley comes from a monopoly climate since 1933, the Clos Rochette, whose very compact soils strewn with small rocks gave it its name.
This beautiful wine from the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy has a beautiful aromatic complexity, with a fresh nose on aromas of white flowers and spices. On the palate, it offers a nice balance between liveliness at the start of the palate and roundness, for a harmonious wine of great finesse.
It can be enjoyed from now until about 2028. It will be the perfect accompaniment to a Vol au vent, fish, shellfish, oysters or a mussel casserole.
Domaine Faiveley is now run by Erwan Faiveley and extends over the Côte de Nuits, the origin of the estate two centuries ago, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise.
