This 2010 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes is produced by Domaine Remoriquet in a magnificent vintage now at maturity, which is part of the trilogy of exceptional vintages in Burgundy, with 2005 and 2015. The Damodes is a beautiful climate, close to Vosne, whose name could come from a female trinity presiding over the good of the earth, or recalls the druidesses established there.
On the nose, it offers beautiful aromas of cherry, faded rose and some more evolved notes on leather and humus. The palate is powerful, with a lot of freshness and elegance, and a perfectly balanced acidity.
