Château La Cabanne 1969 is a red wine from Pomerol, whose 10-hectare vineyard has been owned by Jean-Pierre Estager's family since 1952. Although vines had been cultivated there since Gallo-Roman times, it was in the 14th century that the estate took its current name, inherited from the isolated huts that the Serfs and Colonists lived in when they worked in the vineyards.

It is a beautiful Pomerol wine, balanced and with excellent ageing potential. In this 1969 vintage, the Bordeaux wines were of average quality and the peak of this 1969 Pomerol is of course surpassed but it remains a good gift idea.
