Egon Mueller Riesling Scharzhof White Off-Dry Saarland Germany 2020
This Scharzhof cuvée is made exclusively from the Riesling grape variety and is produced by Egon Mueller, from the vineyards of the Saarburg, Oberemmel region and the Wiltinger Braunfels and Kupp vineyards. Depending on the quality and quantity of the vintage, grapes from the Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard and even Scharzhofberg can also be added.
This wine comes with 35 to 40 grams of residual sugar per litre (Demi-Sec) but with a low alcohol content, between 8.5% and 9% vol., and its high acidity gives an exceptional, unique balance. On the palate, this lively acidity combines with residual sugar to give an impression of a dry, tense and very digestible wine.
It can be drunk young or kept in the cellar until around 2030-2032.
