Domaine FL Savennieres Chamboureau White 2010
This 2010 Savennières from Domaine FL is a beautiful white wine from the Loire made from 100% of the Chenin grape variety. It is offered here in an exceptional vintage and is now perfectly ripe after fifteen years of storage. The absence of malolactic fermentation gives it a very nice balance, between a beautiful acidity and a powerful character.
It offers a lemon yellow colour with golden reflections and on the nose, beautiful intense mineral notes, schist, ripe lemon and exotic fruits. On the palate, the attack is powerful and ample followed by a mineral sensation of warm stones and a long finish with nice exotic notes.
Savennières wines need to be kept in the cellar for a minimum of 3 to 4 years and reach maturity from 7 to 8 years old. This Savennières 2010 can therefore be enjoyed today, by decanting it two or three hours before serving, or it can be kept in the cellar until about 2025.
