This Jacques 2010 cuvée is a wine from Domaine Saint-Nicolas in the Fiefs Vendéens Brem appellation. It offers a beautiful nose of forest fruits with a silky and supple mouth, on the fruit.
The Domaine des Jacques is located in the commune of Ile d'Olonne on the edge of the former salt marshes of the Pays des Olonnes. Its vineyards are planted on slight slopes facing south-west for Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cabernet and south-east for Chardonnay and Chenin on clay soils on schist.
Thierry Michon brilliantly managed the 32-hectare estate, opting for biodynamic cultivation in the autumn of 1995, without weedkillers, fertilizers or synthetic chemicals.
