Château Lilian Ladouys is a Bordeaux wine estate that extends over 46 hectares in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The grape varieties are 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
Its history begins with the estate of "La Doys" in 1564, then in the hands of Jacques de Becoyran, lord of Lafite, who also owned nearby land that would later give birth to Château Lafite Rothschild. From the end of the 18th century and for 150 years, the Barre family presided over the destiny of the estate and built the Chartreuse and its two towers. In 1850, it was already listed among the best estates in Saint-Estèphe.
Closer to home in 1985, Christian and Lilian Thiéblot acquired it and the castle was renamed Lilian Ladouys. In 2008, Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti, who would later acquire Château Pédesclaux in Pauillac and Château d'Issan in Margaux, became the new owners: they undertook a parcel consolidation and invested in a new semi-underground vat room.
Château Lilian Ladouys has held the rank of Cru Bourgeois since 1932 and was classified as an exceptional Cru Bourgeois in 2003. Today, it is still classified as one of the best crus bourgeois in the Médoc.
