Château Liversan is a wine estate that extends over 51 hectares in a single block, in the commune of Saint-Sauveur on the edge of Pauillac. The vines are planted on a layerof fine gravel on a very filtering limestone base, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (44%), complemented by 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
Château Liversan was classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932. Ownedby the Marquis de Latresne in the 18th century, Prince Guy de Polignac acquired it in 1984 and then sold it to the Lapalu family, the current owner since 1995.
The wines of Château Liversan offer both a solid and unctuous tannic structure and a great aromatic complexity.
