How do you find a good wine from 1973?
A rather difficult 1973 vintage for the wines of France
If we had to summarize this 1973 vintage for the wines of France, we can say that the harvests were generally large in most regions, the most abundant of the decade with 1979, and that the wines were generally pleasant to drink in their youth but that few have survived the past fifty years.

Give a bottle of 1973 as a gift
Choosing a wine from 1973
Offering a bottle of wine from 1973 is a great idea for a birthday gift or to mark an important date such as a meeting, a wedding anniversary, a trip.
The Grands Crus Classés of Bordeaux, the great wines of Burgundy, the vintage cuvées of Champagne are all immediately appreciated as beautiful gifts. In this rather difficult 1973 vintage, we recommend turning, if your budget allows, to the premier crus classés of the Médoc and Saint-Emilion as well as the very great wines of Pomerol, the great white wines of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, and at more reasonable prices, the sweet white wines of Alsace in late harvest and selection of noble grains, the red wines of Cahors, the natural sweet red wines of Roussillon. You can select a bottle of 1973 wine from the selection below.
