Rounagle is a family-run winery located in Larroque sur L'Osse near the town of Condom, which extends over 23 hectares in Ténarèze, in the north of the Armagnac appellation.
It benefits from the clay-limestone terroir renowned in this region for producing very aromatic white wines. Rounagle Armagnac is made from a blend of white Ugni and Colombard, in continuous distillation.
Hughes Amesland took over the reins of Domaine Rounagle in 2015 after several years of experience at the helm of the Armagnac Larressingle and Armagnac Samalens estates. He is currently undertaking the construction of a new distillery with a continuous still and two pot stills that will be used for Armagnac but also to distill a single matte whisky with barley harvested and malted on the farm.
