Weingut Egon Müller is a German winery located in Wiltingen in the Saarland region. The vineyard covers more than 12 hectares and the vines are planted on the steep, slate slopes of the Moselle.
It was founded in 1797 by Jean-Jacques Koch after the French Revolution, when the land belonged to a monastery. It is now run by Egon Müller IV and his son Egon V, who represents the sixth generation of the family.
The estate grows only the Riesling grape variety on the best plots of the famous Scharzhofberg hill and the Wiltinger Braune Kupp. Egon Muëller's wines are renowned worldwide for their purity, their perfect balance between acidity and residual sugar, their low alcohol content and their ageing potential, several decades and beyond a human lifetime for the Auslese, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese cuvées.
