GLERA
Glera is the basic grape variety of the famous Italian sparkling wine, Prosecco, the one that gives it all its structure.
In the Prosecco DOC or Prosecco DOCG appellation, it can be vinified alone or in a blend of at least 85% and therefore with up to 15% of the region's native grape varieties, Bianchetta, Verdiso and Perera. Verdiso is introduced for its acidity contribution, especially in very hot years, where it helps to restore the balance of the wine, Perera offers great aromatic intensity and Bianchetta is sweeter, ideal for the balance of wines in colder vintages.
